Hi Everybuddy!
Its not so easy to stay amused in the winter time, but I must admit some Youtubes make it much easier.
Like me, our Texas pal Teresa is a fan of the Crow and the Raven. So I think she will love this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyp0zW9q8jU because I certainly did.
Thank you all for your suggestions about photos. I am going to go check on the external hard drive and maybe try some CDs too. We will see what a little conversation at Radio Shack will tell me!
It stays so cold here, and windy too. Hope its comfy where you are!
Cheers and Hugs,
Jo, Stella and Zkhat
Hi Jo,
ReplyDeleteGreat video! Earlier this year I read an absolutely wonderful book called 'Corvus' by an Aberdeen-based author called Esther Woolfson, describing her houseful of pet corvids. The intelligence of these birds is amazing, and, as is clear also from this video, their capacity for fun. 'Corvus' was a best seller in the UK and available from Amazon. Why not buy yourself a copy for Christmas? I'm sure it would help fend off any cabin fever.
Cheers, Gail.
Thanks loads, Gail, for a great book tip. I ordered it used from Amazon and will excitedly await the book. I had a million laughs over the video and loved how the bird hung onto his jar lid, not wanting to lose his ride! Cheers, Jo
DeleteThat is well clever and funny. Have a marvellous Monday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly.
Ha! LOVE your Header! Very cheery and happy.
ReplyDeletean absolutely brilliant bird!!! how fun!!! :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe we need to RETHINK the use of the term... BIRD BRAINED..
ReplyDeleteRadio Shack is a super place fur GOOD info. If you can't get your pics onto CD's after that.... Talk to STAPLES.... I KNOW that THEY can get them done for you.
Since we need to travel about 50 miles to get to a Staples, I will stay with my Radio Shack boys! But thanks, Frankie, you and Mom always have good ideas!
DeleteCheers,
Jo
Oh that's funny! Busy watching the ravens Up North too ... a lot of entertainment. :)

ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
I'm glad that you got some good suggestions, Jo. Those suggestions will also let you have multiple back-ups of your photos so you won't lose them if your computer crashes.
ReplyDeleteI love crows and ravens too so I adored the video. Thanks!
I'm glad you all got to see it because the owner took it off Youtube! We must have liked it too much!

Windy here too Stella, some of our garage roof came off.

I subscribe to their intelligence. Mrs. T. not so much in the morning when they wake her up at five a.m. on a summer morning....:)
ReplyDeleteBe careful what you wish for, Jo! Eskies are known by those in the know as the "bossiest breed"! BOL But thanks to my being a floofy white slavedriver, a card is winging it way to Minn-A-SNOW-da as I type.
ReplyDeleteAnd Stella, you are right shelters are a MUCH better option than living on a chain, outdoors or being abused. As long as they are no-kill and they work hard to find their residents real forever homes. You were lucky, many do not do this. The shelter Taike came from prided itself on its savings to the citizenry because of its high kill rate!
Oh yes, the best way to spend a cold winters night ...stay nice and cozy on the couch watching some fun videos
ReplyDeleteIt's warmed up a bit here today, hoping the same for you, too.
Ruby.
