Saturday Blogging

Hi Everybuddy!

You know we have been highly erratic at regular blogging, and we just want to set up a new schedule for our blog, Only One Day a Week and that will be Saturday!  You can depend on that.  We will all take turns and hopefully find some fun things to talk about.
Here are my two most favorite pics of Stella and Zkhat.

Sweet Stella with a big smile on her face.  I wonder what she knows!

Here is Zkhat playing Slinky on the stairs.  When she f irst came here that was a regular thing to do, she would start up at the top and just sort of roll down to the bottom.  No crashing, just a nice roll.  She doesn't do it anymore that I know about.  Maybe she thinks she too old and dignified for such foolishness.  Or maybe she does it at night when Stella is in her bed and we won't be around to laugh at her.  That sounds like a cat, doesn't  it?

Our backyard is still deep, deep with snow and Stella has a hard time getting around.  Next week we are getting temps in the 30s which will mean some thawing and we can get out and clean things up a bit.  I hope its a slow melt though so its easy on the roof!

Me, I have a new quilt design plan and am looking forward to starting it.  With all the quilts I have made (more wall hangings) almost all of them have been for somebody else.  I love Civil War reproductions or wannabes, and thats what it will be made from.  Then, I have a ton of scraps too and I want to make a String Quilt.  If you like to make scrap quilts, look for this book and see what you like.

So we will all be keeping busy and will try to think of something a LOT more interesting to you for next Saturday.

Cheers and hugs,

Jo, Stella and the ever charming Zkhat

  1. laughed at the 'slinky' coming down the stairs visual. too cute! :)

  2. Isn't it funny how cats will do something cute and then proceed to make a liar out of you when you want somebody to was them do what they do. Hank used to play ball. If you threw a small ball to him, he would use that left paw and bat it back at you. As cute as it was for a long time, he stopped and has never done it since. Funny little people.

  3. It's just nice to hear from you, auntie Stella!

  4. We certainly do understand BUSY... and we are just thankful that we can COUNT ON YOU and your SATURDAY POSTS to keep us up to date.

  5. Slinky stairs ...always a fun feline sport. Stella what a sweet face you have! Just highlighted our house full of pets in my latest post, shh don't metion Slinky stairs to Spotty Dotty if you stop in, I just cleaned all the cat hair off the stairs !

  6. I think this will be the winter for you to remember. We've had a rather mild one in the grand scheme of things. We've just had dreary cloudy days for the past couple of weeks but today has been beautiful. The early spring flowering trees are beginning to bloom and soon the dogwoods will join them. Can't wait for the dogwoods.

  7. I think that Stella knows that she's got it good with you! Too bad that Zkhat doesn't do the slinky game anymore. It would've been fun to see!

I love hearing about your news... even if it doesn't seem very exciting to you - I enjoy it!

  8. I am looking forward to hearing about what you've been up to! Quilts are really a beautiful art form. We can't wait to see yours!

  9. We finally got 5 inches of snow. Thus I must gratefully acknowledge you generous offer of coming a getting some of you surplus. It's the thought that counts and every mindful of your offer.... thanks...:)

  10. I will make a date and remember that :-) Good to see such a beautiful smile.. and did anyone mention quilts ?

  11. Forgot to say, it's cold enough for snow even down here in mild South Devon... :-) x x x

  12. Hey there gurl!! Well, ya know sometimes a set date is easier than 'whenever I can' ~ which is what Ma does. I love your photo Stella!! Such a great smile gurl! Work it!!
The kitteh, I sure, is up to all kinds of shenanigan's when everyone else is asleep....I just know it! BOL

  13. Stay warm and we see you next Saturday for a pup-date. Have a super Sunday.
    Best wishes Molly

  14. You have given us another reason to look forward to the weekend, Jo!
I like the Zkhat photo - what a game to play. And your quilt projects are always teaching tools for me.

  15. Oh we just love that picture of Stella's happy smile.
Looking forward to seeing how the quilt comes along (well Gail is, I am somewhat indifferent).
    Toodle pip!

  16. Howdy Everybuddy, love the photos. Our mum is green with jelly that you can make quilts that are so gorgeous! She can only sew on a button (and sometimes that falls off afterwards hehe). No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  18. Dear friends, your posts are ALWAYS interesting to us! We do love that everyone is busy doing things that fill the soul as well as the day...and keep the paws/hands busy. Have a wonderful week and know we think of you each day.

  19. Hi Jo, Stella and ZKhat! Thanks for visiting Stumpy's blog! We haven't put on a lot of miles yet, we stopped and spent some time in Quartzsite and Tucson. We're on our way to NM, to see friendsnow. At last count, when we arrived in Tucson we had traveled only 412 miles with another 3200 (plus) to go!
