The Honorable Frankie Furter, Mayor of Blogville!

To our Most Honorable Mayor, Frankie Furter:

This Friday, the 25th of May, is a special day acknowledging the
many things that Mayor Furter does for us all, willingly and with great kindness.  He is a skilled diplomat, a great event planner, a shoulder to cry on when we are in need.  I cannot even begin to tell you all of the things he does, but I am sure most of you reading this, will have had personal experience contacting our little City Hall and speaking with Mayor Furter.

And then, when  he is NOT being mayor, he is a great friend to all.

So Thank You, Frankie Furter, for all you do, and thanking your Support Staff as well.  There is Mom, Dad and Little Ernie who is learning how to be a good pup under your guidance.

Cheers and best wishes for the days ahead,

Jo, Stella and Ziva Zophia (aka Zkhat)

Stella Speaks!

Oh, OK, I am over my grump!  Back to smiling Stella  and feeling pretty good.  Its gonna be a long time before I go back to that groomer place though! heh, heh!

You will notice I am wearing a red lumberjack bandana and I am wondering if Sue is going to have another Bandana Day.  If she is, I want Hots Pink to go nice with my black fuhrs.  And it would be nice with your Portie guys too.  What say you, Sue of the Porties???

Did you see Sue's blog today?  She has got just the kind of fountain that I would like outdoors.  Theirs is furry fancy and I wouldn't need that although I would like it.  Just a fountain where the water runs all day long and you could always get a fresh drink!  Perfect for summer!

Another thing!  That little stinker Ludo has been gone away for a while and now he just came back today with a post.  It was furry good for me to see him because we have been friends a long time now, but I didn't know where he had gone to.  He was afraid we wouldn't remember him.  Who could forget that boy???

I just love all the cute little boys who post stuff and none of them can spells much but you gotta figure out what they are talking about.  Another funny guy is Little Reuf from Raising the Reuf!  You ought to go visit these boys.  Bouncing Bertie too, get those three together and you would have some big time!

All for now, gotta go, sorry for being a grump for too long but I'm OK now.  Thanks for understanding!

Kisses,
Stella

A Stella Story

Adopting a rescue is a most worthy thing to do, but if you get one that is a few years old, don't you wonder what he or she looked like as a puppy?

I found the above picture in an ASPCA ad and  it made me think that this is much like what Stella might have looked like as a little pup.  The pup sure has a mouthful of teeth, maybe its a grown up little dog, I am not that knowledgeable of what dogs should look like when.

What do you think?  I know it isn't Stella, but just wonder if she might have looked like that.

Stella is slowly getting over her grooming session.  You know of the four hours she was there, she was in a cage quite a bit of that time.  I am sure her memory takes her back to life in the shelter where she spent 3 Months in a cage and she can't imagine what she did to deserve THAT again.  We don't have a cage here (we keep one in the garage for emergencies), and Stella is in and out when she wants to be.  So I have come to think that is some of the reason she has behaved so oddly for the last 4 days!

Or she might think more like she gets more attention, more treats, more walkies when she is looking sad.  Hmmmn, could That be it?

I'll be glad to see that smile back!

Cheers and hugs,

Jo, Stella, Zkhat and Ron

A Bit of This and some of THAT!

First of all, let me show you that Spring has finally arrived in Sunny Minniesnowda:

My flowering crab was very pretty this year, the blossoms never last long, just get busy making little crab apples for the birds to eat.  They never eat them in the summer, but let them go over the winter and clean off the tree in the spring!  Must be looking for all that acquired
Vitamin C!

Dear Little Stella had a hard day today.  She is seldom apart from me, and when she is she is always at home with Zkhat.  Today I took her to the Pet Groomer and arranged for her to have The Works, bath, haircut, toenail clip and she was there from 11 am until 3 pm.

She was totally collapsed in a heap.  We paid her bill, started for home and two little boys stopped to talk to her and she had nothing to say to them.  She just wanted to go home.  She didn't even want me to take her picture!  I kept telling her how beautiful she was and she didn't pay any mind to me at all.  She went into her room, got in bed and hasn't been out yet, not even for supper.  She is not speaking to me, Zkhat or anyone else that appears.  I hope she will have forgotten this terrible ordeal by tomorrow.  I wonder if staying in a cage there was what upset her so much.  She didn't want to go into it.  I hope she will not be like Samson and lose her strength with her curls!

Go visit http://juliesknitandsewcorner.blogspot.com/ if you are interested in being considered for a drawing for two nice books.  One is on circular knitting and the other one is on counted cross stitch.  All you do is let her know in a comment which book you are interested in.

Our contest:  lets just say its coming pretty soon!

Now I am going to go check on Stella.  Lets hope she  is speaking to me.

Cheers and hugs,

Jo, Stella and Zkhat

Its Always ME!

Hello Evfurry Buddy, Its me Ziva Zophia (aka Zkhat).  Why do I always get to have the blog when my Mom has something she is supposed to do with it and DOESN'T.   Yes, thats right, she is supposed to be coming up with a contest to celebrate our new header with that stupid clown in it.  But she says, Oh, you do a blog, Zkhat, you are good at it but the real reason is that she hasn't figured out what the contest is going to be yet.  So I have to interrupt my playing Slinky on the Stairs just to tell you that not-surprising-information.

There is not much other news here either.  Last night we had a Thunderstorm and of course, Stella has to carry on with barkings and cryings and gets to sleep on Mom's bed.  She has Mom wrapped around her paw when it comes to this.  So I lose my sleep place (next to Mom) because Miss Scardie gets it and I just go upstairs and find a nice spot under a bed where I don't have to see the lightnings.  I am not scared, I just don't want to see it!  Mom isn't scared of storms either, just the Drama Queen Stella is.

So, the story is, no contest this week and it will be announced mid-next week.  Whoopee!

Purrs and headbutts,

Zkhat
