Walking and Thinking

Hi Evfurry Buddy!  Its Stella here and I want to tell you about some things.  Today my Mom invited me to walk to the Pe-oh with her because she had a package to mail.  Now I am usually a furry good walker (I wasn't always but am now) but today, I just was running around sniffing, and digging up little bits of grass and snuffing every single thing I could find.

My Mom says "Whats the matter with you, Stella, why are you running all around when you should be walking nicely on the sidewalks?"   I had to think about that just a bit, because I wasn't sure but then it came to me and here is what I think it is.

Me, thinking!

I think it is because winter is on the way, and when the snow comes, I have to stick my snooter way deep in the snow to get any of the good sniffs at all.  All the really good smells stay down in the grass and on the ground, and you really got to stick your face in the snow to pick up any at all. This weather of snow is coming very soon! Get Ready!

Here is another important thing.  I visited Lily's blog today, which is Champion of My Heart and learned some important stuff.

I encourage you to vote in America’s Pet Debate from Purina. For each vote in the Team Dog or Team Cat contest, Purina will donate $1 to Pet Partners’ Veteran Programs (up to $100,000). You can vote once a day for 24 days and you dogs better get over there because the CATS are beating us as best pets.  Can you believe THAT?

Thanks for this important info, Lily, and I am glad you are feeling better.

Zkhat was just here, and I asked her if she had anything to say
and she made some comment about the CATS are always the best petz.  Lets straighten her out, should we?

Cheers,
Stella, Jo and Zkhat the wurst pet

  2. Now, Stella, you know how much we want some snow. And trust us, there are still plenty of good sniffs in the snow.

And we will go check out that voting thing. Thanks for telling us about it.

  3. Did you sniff any good pee-mail today, Stella? Any gossip?

Yes, that white stuff is on the way, isn't it? You love it, I know.

I'm always so happy when there's a post from Jo's world. I'm heading over to vote for the dogz, Ms. Zkhat!

  5. But surely Stella, running around and sniffing and snuffing in the grass is simply natural dog behaviour. The real question is why WOULDN'T you be doing that on every walk?
    Toodle pip!

    1. Because, Bertie, this was an errand walk, where we go to the Pe-oh, then walk past businesses who don't like their grass being dug up, this was not a walk in the park! I would certainly think a SMART dog like you would understand the difference.

  6. Howdy Stella Up Over, I think we must be twins cause I like to sniff everywhere too. Here, there, here and there, I love it. Maybe the name Stella means "loves to sniff" hehehe. Do you like the snow? I remember your poor mum fell over and found an egg on her head last time it snowed. Let's hope that doesn't happen again. See ya sweetie pie. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

    1. Hi Frankie and Ernie:

As long as you can get your Dad to shovel it into the truck, drive it to our door, we would be OK with having Ohio snow here in Minniesnowda.
Just let us know when we can expect the shipment.
      Thanks,
      Stella

  9. It 's been very breezy here and leaves are flying around so we 're all doing lots of sniffing and Sebastian is digging big holes. Maybe he thinks he has to hibernate. Silly boy! We like that picture of you thinking.

  10. Hi Stella! There is just something about crunchy leaves and the ground below them and the dying plants that makes this time of year just a scent-o-rama!

We sure do not envy your coming winter and all of that snow...when we get the urge, we'll just all hop in Pumpkin and drive up to the mountain for snowfun and come back and sit at an outdoor cafe for lunch!

  11. We are modern Eskimo dogs...none of that mushing across the tundra for us...4WD all the way! Sure, we instinctively know to curl up tightly and cover our noses with our tails when we are cold, but snuggling into a down comforter against momma is MUCH better! Momma jokes if civilation collapses SHE will have to teach dad and the WDA the simplest of survival skills...we would treat it like an English safari to the jungle during the ealy 1900's...fine china, dressing for meals, tents with carpets... (she was a girl scout)!

    1. Hi Barbara and another Stella!

I have been trying to find your blog or an email address so I could respond to your nice note, but no luck.

I am interested in how far North you are in MN having family up that direction.

Still no snow here, but rain, rain, rain.

      Cheers,
      Jo and the other Stella
