A Little Late are We

OK, OK, so its a little late for Saturday Morning, but we very much wanted to get our summer header up because to be honest, we are just sick of snow!

We owe a thank you to Ann Adamus who rounded up our summer header since we could not locate it anywhere at all.  Thanks, Ann!

Did you watch the Kentucky Derby today?  None of us here are sports fans much but Zkhat and I like the Derby. Zkhat thinks that the horses are all big dogs and that its a good thing for them to get ridden like they do.  Once a cat has her mind made up you can't tell them anything. I like the race mostly because if you just watch the race itself, its over in a couple of minutes.  But the beautiful Orb won and now he is on his way to the Preakness.

Its chilly and rainy here today, but that only eats up what little snow is left and we are happy about that.  You southerners who got whacked with a big storm have our sympathy (heh, heh, sure you do!)

I just want to wish you a good and happy rest of the weekend and we'll see you next week.

Cheers and hugs,
Jo, Stella and Zkhat

  4. We didn't see the derby, the Momster and Dadster were off at soccer games and then the movies. But we did get a good walk when they got home. We didn't get much snow at all, but it sure has been cold and wet and damp - we want some sunshine.

We have always loved that header

  10. I've always liked watching the triple crown, too. I pick the horse I think is most handsome. They usually don't win, but that's OK.

Our snow is gone but the rain stuck around. I think I'm getting moldy.

  11. The power of mind over matter...think Spring and it will come! At least we are adding our White Dog positive thoughts hoping this is so. There is something poetic in watching horses run, whether across a meadow or in the serious focus of a race.

  12. Thanks for checking out my Derby post on making the Garland of Roses via TWG's recommendation, Jo. Agree with you that the Derby is good because it just gets done in a hurry--the horses are magnificent.

Love your new header with the two stars. I read some of your previous posts and the rescue stories warm my heart. I have a 1 year old rescue, Chet. He has a lot to say, especially on Facebook. Any posting that begins "Chet here, Folks-" is bound to get a lot of comments. He's usually asking for help on getting out of a jam with his Roommate (me). :-)

Thank you so much for signing on to follow Summit Musings. I'll return the favor soon--my blog also needs a spring re-do, including adding to followers. Again, nice to meet you in the blogosphere. Faye
