Peace on Earth
Everybody, lets just hold hands and paws and sing this song together:
LET THERE BE PEACE ON EARTH
Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now.
With every step I take
Let this be my solemn vow.
To take each moment
And live each moment
In peace eternally.
Let there be peace on earth,
and let it begin with me.
Peacefully yours,
Jo, Stella and Zkhat (she's trying)
We'll join paws with that sentiment!!

when i attended mass with my mother and they played this song, i would stand next to her and we'd sing along. she always got choked up at the words. to this day, i can still hear/feel her.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and virtually joining in! :)
ReplyDeleteWe are singing right along with you. That is one of Mom's favorite church hymns.

I really love this, and it's needed on a day where there was a little bit of chaos, and harmony is returning.

ReplyDeleteDear Jo, Stella and Zkhat,
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking the time to stop by Suka's blog and write such kind words of sympathy after Suka's passing. It meant a lot to me. Knowing that others care and understand, and reading your heartfelt words, helps me in my grief.
I am sorry Suka had not met you. Suka would have loved having such a smart, fun, and beautiful dog and kitty-cat as friends. And he had a Minnesota connection with you, as that is where he was found and adopted.
Warmly,
KrisAnne (Suka's human)
What a lovely poem. Like Zkhat, I am trying. Oh, hang on a minute, that statement could be interpreted more than one way. I mean I am trying in my own small way to bring peace on earth. Notwithstanding the small matter of a sustained bout of barking when riding 25 miles in our neighbour's car yesterday...
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
Peace to you all. Have a lovely Monday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
What a lovely thought to start the week. Momma sang that song to us when she saw your post and it is now one of our favorites...she says it is a VERY old song. Sounds like humans have been trying to find Peace for a long time. We hope they discover it soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful thought, especially as I just stopped watching the politics on tv. Oh my. Maybe our country can reunite someday...
ReplyDeleteA lovely post and song. We wish for peace in the world every day!
