Some little newsies!

Its me, Stella!  Its really a cooker out there today.  Feels like it might be up in the 87s or the 90s.  Not a day for me to be out and play!

With that, we found a new blog to us, called Why Would Anyone Want to Move to Minnesota? written by Wendy Carson.  Lots of photos, descriptions of things to do, statchews and all of the beautiful lakes we have.  If you are of a mind to come and visit our happy state, read through this blog and just see if you wouldn't want to come calling on  us.

Here is a second exciting bit of news.  I have a new neighbor dog on the other side of my backyard fence.  He is really pretty and I am not sure, but I almost think its Dennis the Vizsla .  I have gone back there several times to say hello to him, but he won't say his name, only Hi and a little woof.  Here is his picture:

Dennis and his Dada got into kind of a disagreement about doing the blogging and writing certain stories, today was an old one about a pig Dennis got out of the archives.  I thought maybe his Dada got upset and sold Dennis to our new neighbors.

Now I know its hard to see, my Mom says she will get a closer picture one of these days.  He is sure a nice polite dog and he likes to stand there by where my fence starts and we just kind of look at each other and sort of commune silently.  Nah, that couldn't be Dennis, could it?  I hope I can learn the new guys name, because I like him. We got two pitbull types on the other side of us, and they are both good dogs too.

Hope its not too hot where you are and  that you have a good new week!

Kisses,
Stella (and Jo and Zkhat)

Maybe this guy is just kinda SHY and stuffs.

  3. We'll check out the blog about your state because Mom is back on the "I'm moving to Canada" kick again. We hear this every summer, but we think she may be getting more serious.

  5. Hmmmm, could be Dennis, one really never knows what he can be up to next:) Hope you get to meet the new pup and find out his name.

Dad is headed to MN in the fall, Mom is thinking about tagging along too.

87??? That is about 15 degrees cooler than here - maybe we all need to get to MN too.

  7. Stella, you are so lucky that you can actually see your neighbour doggies and that there is not a 4ft high solid granite wall in the way. Gail says Jo is lucky too, 'cos you can look at each other and commune silently, whereas when I want to communicate with my next door neighbours, (Molly Springer spaniel on one side and Ruby Briard on the other) I have to use my voice. A lot.

PS I am working on a scientific explanation for the 'sewwing' thing, although it is not a human activity that I get to observe often in this household....

  8. Stella, your shy neighbor might just be intimidated by your poise and beauty. Keep smiling and he'll become more chatty. Please stay where you are cool and comfortable...and be sure to drink lots of water...you and mom and Zkhat!

  9. We have never been to MN, but have heard wonderful things about your state - plus it is not too far from our state IL. One of these days we will get there!

    Your pal, Pip

P.S.: It's crazy hot down here, too.

  10. It could be Dennis, it sure look like him!
I is gonna go look at that blog now. Do you know we recently had a tv programme on here called Earth watch live or something like that and part of it came from Minnesota! I looked out for you, but it did mostly be bears.
AliZophia seems like she has a pretty big case against you for putting her head in your mouth Stella. I bet you know better now and I hope she will forgive you. Speaking as someone who used to has a cat bro Pepe he probably would have scratched my nose!

  11. Stella, you be a good girl around your new friend. Don't be flirting too much, especially when your mom is not around!

  14. Hi Stella! I have a good Greyhound friend who lives in Minnesota, and he's always telling me how cold it is. It doesn't sound cold at all! But at least it's not as hot where you are as it is here in Illinois! Triple digits again today. I need to move somewhere more temperate!

I am pretty sure that is not THE Dennis. You would know because there would be all sorts of strange characters popping up over there and most likely some sort of contraption or portal would have appeared. Strange things follow Dennis!

  19. Hi All,
I would gladly come out to visit and bring my leash for exercise walks but the truth is that if I did things here in ABQ would simply fall apart. Everyone would sleep all day, eat treats galore, chaos would reign. Perhaps you could pack up your travel duffles (including ZKhat's) and head West to The White Dog Ranch! You could stay in momma's studio with cool tile floors and a quiet courtyard with a tree full of birdies. We would start out slowly, maybe walking to Flying Star Cafe just 4 blocks away for an outdoor refreshment before briskly jogging back. Maybe your mom could go to yoga class with dad, Stella. Think about it...the invitation is open ended.
