What say?

Stella and I are together almost all day, every day.  She is my constant companion.  I talk to her a lot and really don't expect an answer, but lately I seem to get some.

This is my favorite.  She walks up to me and I say "Whats up, Stella?  Do you want to go outdoors?"

She drops her butt down on the floor, going from standing to sitting, and looking in my eyes.  Thats a NO.

Its called non-verbal communication.  What do your pets say to you?

  1. Oh I have plenty to say to Gail, as you can imagine. You should see the way I can wag my tail furiously from side to side while I am gazing intently up at Gail from a sitting position. It means "WHERE IS THAT TREAT I SURELY DESERVE FOR BEING A GOOD PUP AND SITTING DOWN SO NICELY?"
    Toodle pip!

  3. The Porties are a noisy group and always have lots to say about everything, but Tsar has his own means of communication. If I offer him something to eat, he first has to check it out. He smells it, then he takes it carefully between his teeth and puts it on the floor. He'll turn it over and check it carefully. If it passes inspection, he'll eat it, if not, he shakes his head "no" and walks away. No mistake about that answer.

  5. The best talker here is Phantom and he doesn't even have to say anything. He conveys all his messages with his eyes:)

  6. Our K makes monkey noises when she's really happy. R barks so loudly that it hurts my ears when it's time for a walk! They both talk... just like Stella except verbally!

  7. Eskies in general are great conversationalists. they are VERY vocal. Even beyond that momma and I have a special xcommunication because I have been her nearly constant companion for seven years now. I am by her side when she paints, or reads, or cooks, or daydreams so we are able to share our thoughts pretty well.

  9. My pets communicate with me by giving me treats. That's how I know they want to pet me. Sometimes they come up on me super-slow and whisper things--that usually means I have a special visitor (usually a squirmy kid). When they get quiet and grumpy, it means they need extra attention. These humans can be hard to figure out!

  10. A rub from a cold wet nose usually gets attention, and Kizzie often scratches the furniture when she wants to go out, unfortunately, as she doesn't have a very loud meiow.
